Saylorville Yacht Club Racing

Saylorville Yacht Club offers its members several different race series, each of which provides varying degree of skill and commitment. Each series has its own Notice of Race (NOR), Sailing Rules and registration form and fee. Race crew are always needed and welcome, providing opportunity for all yacht club members to race.

Why Race?

Racing provides the venue to sharpen sailing and boat handling skills, learn sailing and right of way rules, increase boat rigging and maintenance knowledge while enjoying companionship of folks with a common bond of sailing. The best way to learn to race is by racing. Rules become clearer in real world situations.

Want to crew?

Crewing is a great way to learn more about sailing. If you want to crew, check out our RailMeets page for info. You can always email or for help.  You can also show up at the 400 dock on Wednesday evenings for the skippers' meeting. We will be sure to get you on a boat.

Register by clicking on one of the race events listed below. Plan on registering for multiple races? Consider registering for the Distance and Buoy Race Series to participate in all races. This includes all buoy and distance races for $30. The package does not include club regattas.
